Picture Deletion while editing on PhotoScape

Many of us love editing photos, trying to play around with the color, texture, contrast, brightness etc and there are plenty of softwares available for this purpose. But with softwares like PhotoShop and CorelDraw, one needs to be far more technical than say while using something like Picasa, or PhotoScape. The latter ones being more for beginners than for professionals. The user interface of PhotoScape is far simpler than PhotoShop although the purpose of the two is essentially the same.

On PhotoScape, one can simply edit pictures by resizing them, adding frames, balloons, cropping them, adding text, mosaic etc. All this fun of editing comes with a price. While you can do all this and more using PhotoScape, you need to ensure that you have a copy of the original picture. PhotoScape does not create a copy of the original picture. This means that you are editing and changing the original. So if you don't have a copy of it, and you save the changes, there is no way you can get back the original. It's worse when people without realizing this point go on to deleting the picture. Whether you do that by mistake or on purpose, don't worry, use a Picture recovery software and Recover deleted pictures.

Just imagine if after editing a picture using PhotoScape, say you add balloons to it, you just click save. Then for whatever reason you dislike the picture and decide to delete it. You then try to look for the original picture to try a new editing method, but the picture is nowhere to be found!!

Cause:

This is because PhotoScape, like some other softwares of its kind, is only a tool. This means that it basically accesses the folder in which the picture is and allows you to do whatever you want with the picture. So it basically edits the original picture itself, rather than creating a copy of it and then editing. So when you edited the picture, you replaced the original and the deleted the replaced one. Hence no traces of the picture.

Solution:

The solution to this problem is simple-get back the edited one and then re-edit it to make it like the original.

1.If you just deleted the picture, you should be able to find it in the Recycle Bin/Trash as may be the case.

2.If you pressed "Shift+DEL" then you will need a Picture recovery software for the purpose. The software will scan the hard drive and Recover deleted photos.

Stellar Phoenix Photo Recovery is a software with a simple GUI, so even beginners can easily Recover deleted pictures on their own. It supports JPEG, GIF, RAW and a variety of other file types. The software not only recovers pictures but also audio and video files. One can download the trial version first and check the recoverable pictures and then buy the full version and actually recover them.

Fun Anku has 6 Years of Experience in the Software Technology researching with Stellar Information Systems Ltd that offers Recover deleted photos, Camera recovery software and Digital camera photo recovery software

Round Trampoline Safety: 5 Ways a Trampoline Can be Dangerous

A round trampoline is an exciting purchase, both for your children and for the parents, who can't help but catch the contagion of their child's fervor. It's a big purchase as well, so it can be intimidating trying to make the right choice, and for a lot of parents in this economy, that might mean cutting some corners here and there to save a buck. But not all trampolines are created equal, and it's important to realize that traditional models have some real risks involved—in fact, 100,000 children are sent to the hospitals for trampoline-related injuries.

Let's look at what some of those risks are so you can make the right choice about your purchase.

1. The Springs

One of the most common injuries that occur on a traditional round trampoline is when children get pinched by the large springs that suspend the bouncy surface. While most of the more modern models do have a cover that circles the perimeter of the trampoline and serves to protect the springs and the metal frame, so people don't collide with and/or get pinched by them, these covers rarely stay secure.

Make sure that you get one that has an extremely secure sleeve for covering the springs, or you might want to check out a springless trampoline, a new design style that has eliminated this danger completely by taking springs out of the equation.

2. Flying Off

Another common injury on trampolines occurs when children are propelled off of the trampoline, which creates the danger of them colliding with another object or the ground. This can result in some pretty bad injuries. Many models these days now use safety nets, which keep children from flying off in the first place. Instead, they hit the netting and are pushed back on to the trampoline surface.

3. Bottoming Out

Even a round trampoline, with its more stable and less bouncy surface, has the danger of bottoming out. This is a term used when a user hits the ground below the bouncy surface. Prevent this by purchasing a model that is a good deal above the ground.

4. Hitting the Frame

Also keep in mind that hitting the frame through the bottom can be another danger. Check out the model you're buying and ask the company what they have done to prevent this.

Other ways you can hit the frame are when the padding on the perimeter of the surface comes loose or even when a frame has safety netting—as sometimes the poles holding the netting are not properly padded. Look for a model that has extremely good padding or find a model that uses thing fiberglass poles to hold the netting up, as these flex and lower the user slowly to the ground.

5. Knocking Heads

One more common and dangerous injury with trampolines is when two people are jumping together and they bounce into each other, often knocking their heads together. Please remember that big, bouncy trampolines are not necessarily made to allow more people to jump at once, and in fact, this is typically discouraged.

It is best for safety reasons to only allow one person to jump at a time—and the bigger trampolines are intended to create a bigger, more dynamic jumping service for active people.

Angels - Fallen Angels - Beings of Greek Mythology and December 21, 2012

God created the angels - the leader of the angels was Lucifer - he was also a great musician, this is why music has so many anti-god messages and themes. The Bible tells us about Lucifer being a musician in Ezekiel 28:13 - NKJV Version says: "The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes was prepared for you on the day you were created,"

If in Heaven Lucifer was a master musician along with some of the other angels, they without a doubt, played to entertain God, as a form of their worship towards him. Once cast out of heaven, what better way of revenge then to pervert the music and use it as a tool against God, especially by corrupting the young people.

Lucifer (Satan) rebelled against god and along with him, 1/3 of the other angels joined with his plans to overthrow god and rule heaven - God kicked his ass and cast him and the other rebellious (fallen angels) out of the Third Heaven area, forever.

I personally believe 100% in the actual Holy Bible, there are some other so-called hidden or missing Biblical books, 'Apocrypha'. One of these book is called: The Book of Enoch, whether or nor this book is or was supposedly an actually part of the God - inspired Holy Bible, we do NOT know for sure. The Book of Enoch is very elightening for sure, as it tells us in great detail the actual plans the fallen angels had against God and humans, after they were banished from Heaven. What makes me think the book of Enoch is biblical correct, is the fact that it's messages align with what is also told in the standard Holy Bible.

When Lucifer and the rebellious follower angels were cast out or banished from the third heaven (these spiritual beings still have access to heavens 1 and 2). Cast out of the third heaven Lucifer (Satan) and his top fallen angels came to earth and descended upon Mount Hermon. Enoch 6: "And they were in all two hundred; who descended in the days of Jared on the summit of Mount Hermon, and they called it Mount Hermon, because they had sworn and bound themselves by mutual imprecations upon it."

The place the Fallen Angels came to the Earth on, in their 'fallen condition', was no random location, but a very precise spot on the planet. The highest slope of summit is on the border between Syria and Lebanon, and is under Syrian control. The southern slopes of Mount Hermon have been in Israeli control since the Six-Day War in 1967. This part of the mountain, as well as the Golan Heights, was annexed by Israel in 1981. Mount Hermon has been listed as the site of the Transfiguration, where Jesus took three of his disciples, Peter, James, and John, up on a high mountain for prayer. Before their eyes, Jesus was transfigured. He became radiantly white and conversed with Moses and Elijah, who had appeared beside him. The disciples' amazement and fear were further increased, when a voice from Heaven exclaimed, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased". What a mockery again against God, to have the very spot where Jesus was transformed to show his Glory, become soiled by having fallen angels descend there.

Also there has been found a very strange bit of info that may show that the site of the Roswell UFO (Satanic hoax) was a chosen spot, and not just some random flying saucer crash site. In Spiritual Numerology, '33' symbolizes the highest spiritual conscious attainable by the human being." Mount Hermon, the first location of extraterrestrial (fallen angels) influence with man, lies precisely at 33.33 north 33.33 east ... 2,012 miles from the equator and 2,012 miles from the prime meridian. If you go directly opposite Mount Hermon, on the other side of the Earth, you will find yourself at the Roswell UFO crash site location.

To be completely accurate, the number of nautical miles in 33.33 degrees of the earth is 2012 ".9" This corresponds to the year and date that the ancient Mayans of middle America believed their calendar will end, December 21st, 2012. This is also the year their serpent god and founder of civilization, Quetzalcoatle, will return from heaven. Remember also, the name of the being that tempted Eve in the Garden of Eden is was also called 'The Serpent', is this the same being, that may return to the Earth in 2012.

Could it be, that these ancient fallen angels were telling us that the same event that occurred in 1947 in Roswell New Mexico, will again occur, maybe on a massive scale on Dec 21, 2012 ?

Will, Dec 21, 2012 be the unveiling of a worldwide UFO event, and the unfolding of the 'Great Deception', as Jesus warned about in the Holy Bible. Or will there be a worldwide UFO event that occurs at the moment of the Rapture, or maybe there will be a fake rapture that occurs, where top New Agers are removed, and Christians and others are left behind, temporarily, and many of them take the mark of the beast willingly but by deception, then the real rapture of the Christians occurs....... One can only ponder what, if anything will occur on Dec 21, 2012. The fallen angels and demons can NOT know the exact date of the Rapture (Return of Christ for his followers), because the Bible states no one knows that day or hour, except God the Father. So it looks more and more, that the great deception may indeed be a fake, satanic rapture and a worldwide UFO event, occurring before the real rapture.

Our modern technological society is so engrossed by with aliens and UFOs and close encounters of the third kind. I believe Satan is preparing the masses left behind to believe that those taken, were taken by aliens in UFOs. Fallen angels have no need for UFO's but it is a modality, and a great deception that modern man will understand and believe.

Once these fallen angels came upon Mount Hermon, they wanted revenge for their banishment from the third Heaven, they decided that the most rebellious act they could do to seek revenge against god, was to corrupt or contaminate his other created beings, humans. In their true angelic form, they would not and could not have sexual intercourse. They had the ability though to assume human form, as the Holy Bible states in numerous passages that angels, can look and act exactly like humans, they can sleep, eat, drink and thus there is no reason they cannot have sex in this human form.

It is likely that another reason the fallen angels wanted to have sex with human women, and have perverted offspring, was to try to prevent the Messiah from coming from the lineage of Adam to be kinsman redeemer of the human race. If no genetically pure man could be found to redeem man, Satan and the angels would retain administrative control over the fallen earth indefinitely.

Enoch CHAPTER VII. 1: "And all the others together with them took unto themselves wives, and each chose for himself one, and they began to go in unto them and to defile themselves with them, and they taught them charms and enchantments, and the cutting of roots, and made them acquainted with plants. 2. And they became pregnant, and they bare great giants, whose height was three thousand ells."

CHAPTER VIII. 1. And Az taught men to make swords, and knives, and shields, and breastplates, and made known to them the metals ?of the earth? and the art of working them, and bracelets, and ornaments, and the use of antimony, and the beautifying of the eyelids, and all kinds of costly stones, and all colouring tinctures. 2. And there arose much godlessness, and they committed fornication, and they were led astray, and became corrupt in all their ways. Semj taught enchantments, and root-cuttings, Arm´s the resolving of enchantments, Barl, taught astrology, K  the constellations, Ez the knowledge of the clouds, Araqil the signs of the earth, Shamsil the signs of the sun, and Sar  the course of the moon.

These fallen angels in human form, were able to have sex, something they could not do, in their true spiritual state when they were in the 3rd Heaven. The names given to these human - fallen angel (alien) hybrid giants is called Nephilim. These being were also called several other names, such as: Annunaki, Anak, Anakim, Anakites, Arba, Rephaites, Anu, Pleiades, An, Anshar, Kishar, Antu, Ki, Gibil, Nusku, Gulu, Ninmah, Nergal, Cuthah, Kuta, Gudua, Gudea, Imdugud, Ningursu, Zeus, Odin, Danu.

These men, if we can or should even call them men, since they were human-angel hybrids, were huge, the book of Enoch says some of these beings had a height of 'three thousand ells'. We are not told how tall "three thousand ells" happens to be, but the biblical Og was close to 15 feet tall, Goliath was over 10 feet tall, and stories dating from the 19th century, tell of men finding bones of giant people in Iraqi tombs that were as much as 34 feet tall.

Either way these beings were huge, and they not only had great strength, but since they contained genes that were a mix of fallen angels and humans, they quite probably had some of the traits of the fallen angels, such as their strength, and occult powers, or what we could call angelic abilities.

These great beings, the Nephilim, were as they are called the "men of renown," I believe these original Nephilim, are the explanation of the origin of the Greek mythology. That mythology was not a made up invention of the human mind, but it was based on fact, and it grew from past memories, and legends of the doings of that mighty race of beings. The fact that they were supernatural in their origin formed an easy step to their being regarded as the demi-gods of the Greeks. And thus they became Zeus, Apollo, Mercury and other such men of renown.

There is a website that has information on angels, fallen angels, ufos, secret groups, aliens, alien abductions, NWO, one world government, and much more, the website is called: The Great Deception, and can be found at this url: http://www.great-deception.com

Cell Phone Antenna May Pose Health Hazards

There is growing consensus that cell phone antennas may be harmful to humans due to the huge volume of electromagnetic waves that get concentrated around it during the receipt and placing of calls. This danger is even further aggravated by cellular manufacturers who place the internal antennas close to the earpiece.

Mobile phones are basically radio sets and therefore emit energy radio signals that can penetrate the body and cause harm.

There have been several commissions on the study of the effect of mobile phone on the human body and the most pronounced has been The Stewart Report which suggested that radio waves indeed penetrate human bodies from mobile phone antennas and specially recommended that children who obviously have softer skulls be extra careful and use the device sparingly. The report further went on to state that the brain cells of children are not as fully developed as those of adults and can therefore be at greater risk as they absorb the radiation more than fully hardened adult skulls.

These hazards may exist but cell phones have become part of everyday living like cars and cannot be dispensed with. In the light of this fact, doing away with our phones may not be a practical approach to solving the health hazards issue. Rather we can adopt some habits to mitigate the effects of the radiation.

Children should not use cell phones for long calls. They should sue land lines instead so as to minimize the length of contact with the radiation emitted by the device.

Consumers should buy phones with low specific absorption rate (SAR). Mobile phones should be kept away from the body as much as possible. They can be put in the purse or bag and only brought into contact with the body when there is the need to make or receive a call.

Users should try to keep their conversations short.

If possible, SMS messages can be sent instead of calls so that there is less contact with the body especially around the skull area.

Keep switching between both ears so that one particular ear does not absorb the full brunt of the radiation all the time.

Radiation emission is at the highest when the phone is trying to connect so keep the phone away from the skull till you see the call fully connected.

Weak signal results in higher radiation so avoid making calls in areas where reception is poor as the device will try to boost its power to get you a connection and resultantly bombard you with more radiation.

We cannot do away with cellular devices looking at the convenience they have ushered consumers in. Nevertheless, we can adopt some helpful attitudes to minimize the harmful effects this technology is bringing to mankind.

Top 10 Common Phobias Which Can Seriously Affect You

Have you ever felt scared of a certain situation? Did you ever get a fright when you were in the presence of a certain object? If so, then you just may have a phobia. Most people who are affected by phobias will ignore the fact and just continue on with their lives. The thing is that it doesn't matter if you have a strange phobia which you think no one will understand, whatever the phobia is, someone else is suffering from it too and the odds are that there are thousands and thousands of others affected by it. So if you have a specific phobia like the fear of dogs for instance or the fear of driving or if you just want some social phobia treatment then you should think about using subliminal Cds as a way of curing these phobias. Below, we list the main Top 10 phobias in this world today.

1. Acrophobia - Also known as the fear of heights is the top fear which affects humanity. It's not too hard to see why the fear of heights affects most of us as this fear has protected us since childhood and so most of us bring this fear into adulthood subconsciously as a way to protect us.

2. Aerophobia - The fear of flying affects a huge proportion of the population but it affects more than others. If you ever wanted to avoid a phobia then this is the one you wouldn't want. The worst thing about this phobia is that when it strikes it can really affect a person's life in a bad way. Most people who have this phobia avoid foreign travel and this can have a real negative impact on their lives.

3. Glossophobia - We all have a fear of public speaking and most of us will have to do it at some stage which makes it even scarier. We all have to do it at some stage, whether its a wedding speech or a business speech we will have to stand up in front of a large crowd and speak. These types of phobias can really affect our social lives and standing within a community.

4. Lygophobia - The fear of the dark affects most children but it can be carried from childhood into adulthood and surprisingly there are many adults who are still afraid of the dark.

5. Arachnophobia - Also known as the fear of spiders, it affects more women than men. As children we fear big spiders but some of us will bring this fear into adulthood where it can be more of a nuisance to deal with rather than a real problem. Its estimated that 50% of women are affected by this phobia while just 10% of men can say the same.

6. Ophidiophobia The fear of snakes is another common phobia which can affect many people. Although its not life changing unless you want to live in a snake infested jungle or desert its still one of those phobias which we'd be better off without.

7. Rejection - Having a fear of rejection is not rare, it affects us all in one way or another. At some stage this is one of those things which will pay us a visit. No one wants to be rejected and this phobia can affect some people to such an extent that they never get married.

8. Claustrophobia - The fear of confined spaces is another phobia which makes our top 10 list. Its a very common phobia and if you ask most people, they'll tell you that they don't like confined spaces. Some people can handle it while others have a real problem with confined spaces.

9. Kakorrhaphiophobia - The fear of failure is anther phobia which will affect many of us throughout our lives. Its one of those things which can in fact keep us back so its important to fix this phobia as soon as possible.

10. Agoraphobia - This is the fear of open spaces and is also a very common phobia which affects many of us in different ways. Most think that someone who has it can't go outside but this isn't the case at all. Some who are affected by this phobia will have a problem with going out but most are affected by it in others areas of their lives.

The famous fictional detective created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle returns in The Lost Cases of 221B Baker St with the ever-faithful Dr. Watson as they investigate previously unknown cases including a murder at the mystical Stonehenge archaeological formation, a mysterious disappearance related to time travel, and the possible return of the infamous Jack the Ripper murderer.

This dynamic duo do not solve the cases on their own though. They team up with other familiar characters such as older brother Mycroft, Inspector Lestrade and other contemporary investigators and personalities. They also come across a whole range of people (both victims and suspects) in their investigations, such as archaeologists, smugglers, murderers, damsels in distress and even the famed author H. G. Wells!

There are 16 thrilling cases to be explored in The Lost Cases of 221B Baker St, and each case features bizarre circumstances and exotic scenarios that only the great Sherlock Holmes could solve. The only thing bad about having so many cases is that the game is not able to devote enough time to getting the player fully involved and engrossed in each case, leaving the cases feeling like short excursions rather than the deep mysteries they deserve to be.

Each case starts out with Holmes and Watson (usually at home) being approached by either a distraught victim of foul play, a concerned friend/relative, or a member of Scotland Yard with a case that is too difficult for the police to solve. These interactions (as well as all conversations in the game) happen in cutscenes with good voice-acting. Once Holmes gets enough background information about the case, the pair are off to investigate the various locations involved, as well as interview witnesses and potential suspects.

The gameplay in 221B Baker St is a typical hidden object and mini-puzzle format, but with unique additions that make it more immersive and enjoyable. When you click on hidden objects that you're supposed to find, you get some backstory on those objects. For example, finding a handkerchief at a dig site might cause Sherlock to deduce that the Baron Escobar - the lover of the murder victim's widow - was visiting the victim just before he died. These story bits really add character to these hidden object games that usually turn out to have lots of mindless clicking.

The puzzles in this game are also finely crafted. They usually occur while you are searching for clues. For example, finding a torn-up piece of paper will launch a puzzle that requires you to put the pieces back together and decipher the riddle on it. Other puzzles are triggered by approaching obstacles such as locks and doors. The puzzles themselves are also more intricate and have that distinct Victorian English feel to them.

When Sherlock has collected enough evidence in each case, he then goes back to Baker St. to contemplate the information and arrive at his surprising yet correct conclusions. This is done in the game by correctly categorizing the list of suspects according to distinguishing features. You then have to associate the suspects with the correct evidence. For example, the Baron Escobar with his handkerchief from our earlier example. You can then rule out incorrect suspects until you arrive at the real culprit. Once the case is completed, a black-and-white cutscene will start in which Sherlock explains (with his crazy logic) how the crime was committed and how he deduced who was responsible.

The Lost Cases of 221B Baker St is a nice adventure in Arthur Conan Doyle's world of mysterious Victorian England. The gameplay and art are both very immersive and detailed, and the story is strong enough to keep you interested and hooked on the game. And with 16 cases in this one game, what's not to like?

Rating: 4.0/5.0

Add Sizzle to Your Surroundings

Is your home décor lacking that extra something that spells the difference between comfortable and vibrant or between comfortable and tranquil? Candles might be just the polish your décor needs. Take advantage of the sparkling colors, rich textures, and fresh scents of candles without draining your decorating budget.

Some candles are best unadorned, but candleholders offer an additional opportunity to highlight their presence and beauty. You don't have to burn the candles; you can use them as objects d'art, incorporating them into displays, floral arrangements and centerpieces—alone as an accent piece, or in a grouping as a focal point.

Typical candles no longer exist—they belong to a bygone era. Tapers gave way to thick and varied heights long ago. Today, you'll find square candles, heart-shaped candles, fruit and vegetable candles, gingerbread candles, floral candles, Christmas tree and ornament candles, and candles with artistic free-flowing shapes. Within that variety of shapes, you'll find an endless array of adornments, such as beads and glitter, straw, botanicals embedded in the wax, still life scenes, etc.

Color, Shape and Texture

Today's candles come in a wide variety of hues and shades, and many add the dimension of shape and texture to their composition. Marbled, frosted, and sculptured candles are widely available in a selection of sizes, shapes and prices—ranging from votives to thick, oversized candles.

If your living areas are frozen in time with a monochromatic color scheme—you know the rooms we mean, they looked oh-so-good on paper until you lived in them for a month—use candles to rescue you from the monotony without the expense of redecorating. Marbled candles are a quick and easy way to work complementary or harmonizing color into the room.

If your home utilizes color well, but lacks excitement, accessorize with textured candles to add pizzazz to the room. Position the candles to create a focal point or to add just the right accent. Marbled candles incorporate several hues and shades of the same color, and variegated candles can tie all of the colors in your décor together.

Sculptured candles provide a warm substitute for expensive knickknacks and require a minimum of space. Add smaller sculptured candles to guest bathrooms along with guest hand towels and guest soaps. It's the attention to detail that rolls out the welcome mat for guests and creates the ambiance of a memorable stay.

If you've never used anything but wax candles, try one of the new gel candles. Gel candles are translucent and their shimmering glow is irresistible to the eye. You'll find gel candles ready to display in their own attractive glass containers.

Candles and Fragrance

Scented and aromatherapy candles make an excellent choice for the kitchen, bedroom or bathroom. Consider odor-neutralizing scented candles a necessity for the kitchen when you entertain. They serve triple duty by quickly neutralizing cooking odors, adding a pleasant scent and a touch or warmth. Larger scented candles often include interesting texture, shape and color variation.

Candleholders and Display Options

If you use your patio as a three-season outdoor room, float citronella votives in water on the patio for a lily-pads-in-the-pond effect. You'll scare away the mosquitoes and other flying irritants at the same time. Place all citronella candles a few feet from the table so that you don't run off the guests along with the insects.

Votive holders have blossomed into every imaginable shape, including butterflies, bejeweled beveled glass holders, and seascape holders. Many of the votive designs are ideally suited for an outdoor environment.

Hurricane lamps add light and atmosphere to the outdoor table in the evening. Eve lights can produce harsh lighting, and hurricane lamps provide enough light to see without detracting from the atmosphere. When selecting a candleholder for outdoor use, it's important to select one that shields the flame from the wind, and hurricane lamps provide ample protection from the wind.

If you haven't seen the newer tea lamp candleholders, you're not going to believe your eyes. These candleholders are every bit as elaborate and intricate as their electrical counterparts. If you prefer the formal look of a chandelier, consider a chandelier candleholder for a soft, diffused light. The next time a storm or tornado blows through your area, leaving you without electricity, tea lamp, hurricane and chandelier candleholders will be ready and waiting.

Whatever your décor, imaginative use of candles and candleholders allows you to change your décor as often as you change your mood.

City Of Heroes: A Travel Power Guide

We at the Marvello Corps supergroup like to give help where we can. Where as City of Heroes isn’t the most complicated MMORPG out there, it’s always good to have a little bit of information to help those who want it so I have written this guide to one of the most fun parts of both City of Heroes and City of Villains; the travel powers.

Over the 50 levels of both games you are going to do an awful lot of travelling around. You have the choice of 4 different powers that you can take to help you get around the different zones. They each have their benefits, drawbacks and pre-requisite powers that need to be taken before you can access them.

The powers themselves can be accessed at level 14 at the earliest and they are so prevalent in the game it is just assumed that by level 14 you will have one. It’s important to remember this when choosing your early powers, especially if you want to PVP, as the terrain of the higher-level zones (and the distances you have to travel between missions) is much easier and quicker to navigate around with one of these powers. So you want one right?

This means that either at level 6, 8, 10 or 12 you have to make the choice of travel power and pick a pre-requisite. The travel powers themselves are Fly, Teleport, Super Jump and Super Speed. Which one you choose will greatly depend on personal preference or character concept. I chose Fly with my original character because I was new to the game and wanted a flying character. My main preference, however, is for Super Jump as it is very versatile. This doesn’t stop me taking other travel powers though, sometimes for character concept or sometimes because I like a change. Sometimes I like to pick powers based on the pre-requisite power. This is always a good idea if there is a power that you want because it saves you having to access 2 travel pools and gives you a further power selection that otherwise would have been lost to you. As you can see there are many things to consider when deciding on your power.

So here are the powers along with some of their pre-requisite powers and pros and cons.

Fly:

This seams to be the one power that every new player wants and you can see why. Flying is so ingrained into the concept of a super-powered hero it almost seams wrong to have a hero without it.

Some say it is the safest power and it has certainly been designed as such. With it you can often completely miss mobs. Within missions it is not overly versatile but can be a benefit to the right character. It has a fairly high endurance usage (even though changed recently) and in order to use it with powers you will need to optimise your build. One option is to take Hover (one of the pre-requisite powers) as it has a much lower endurance usage and gives a defence buff as well, all be it a small one. One thing to remember is that it has a suppression effect so if you fire your powers you can not simply fly off, it takes a few seconds before the power comes back.

On the down side Fly is very slow compared to the other travel powers. Recently the option to slot Swift to enhance fight was added but it gives little benefit to a fully slotted Fly. The power its self needs to be slotted. I would recommend at least slotting with 3 flight speed enhancements. If you find you are having problems with endurance a 4th slot with an endurance modifier should solve that.

As far as Pre-requisites go you have a choice of Air Superiority and Hover. Air Superiority is actually quite a nice attack that deals a fare amount of damage and knocks an enemy out of the sky (or off there feet). It’s handy for Defenders and Controllers who don’t get many Melee attacks. I would warn against it for characters who use weapons though as you will have to re-draw your weapon after firing this off.

Hover is like mini-fly. It has a very slow speed but this can be enhanced with Flight speed enhancements to give a fairly good speed for use in battles. It does not suffer from suppression and has an incredibly small defence bonus. It is good for non-melee characters that want to fly above a battle and attack/buff/de-buff and can be useful for avoiding floor traps like Quicksand and Caltraps. This isn’t as good for Melee characters as you tend to stay away from the fight more.

Teleport:

Teleport is fast. In fact it is the fastest power in the game. You will get to everywhere as fast as super-humanly possible and it looks really good and has a very useful pre-requisite power.

It’s a very nice power to have in some respects. In others though, it is sadly lacking. For the benefit of speeding across zones you will have to 6-slot this power. Firstly 3 you need slots for endurance reduction. The endurance usage on Teleport is very high. When you first get this power you often have to take breaks between teleportation, as travel across zones will leave you drained. With the slotting however it is manageable and with Stamina as well, it is even more so. The last 3 slots you can use to boost the powers range (using normal range enhancements) that will speed up your travel.

As far as versatility goes this is probably the least versatile of the travel powers. Its speed is great but changing direction is sometimes a pain. One of the redeeming features of this power though is the ability to teleport away from slowing effects. It is useful in missions even if it takes some thinking outside the box to find some of the uses. Teleporting between ledges in missions is not the easiest thing in the world and if you want a power that is useful in that respect then maybe one of the others would be better for you.

Recall Friend and Teleport Foe are both useful powers as well and really help to make the power a better choice. Recall Friend lets you teleport team mates to you. This can be useful if you are getting people away from trouble or helping people reach missions quicker. It is less useful in PVP but this is where Teleport For really comes into its own. Teleport Foe allows you to teleport and enemy to you. It’s occasionally used as a pulling technique in PVE but it has a large agro range so you often find that the whole mob will follow as well. This is not always the case in PVP though and the power can be used to target individuals and either move them away from one of your allies or move them closer to another one.

If you can afford the slots then this is a nice power to have, even if it takes a little getting used to.

Super Jump:

I find this to be the most versatile of the travel powers. It combines a good speed with a decent vertical movement allowing quick crossing of maps as well as useability inside missions for reaching some of the tricky ledges. It also has the benefit of allowing you to control where you are going to land. The only down side to this power is that if you are not careful you may land near or on mobs who can quite easily kill you. It does not take long, however, to learn some of the tricks with Super Jump and it will afford you safe travel around zones with not much practice.

Super Jump is another power that has the suppression effect however and is greatly affected by powers that slow you or remove your ability to jump. It also has a very subtle power effect and it has been known for some people to run out of endurance during a battle because they have left this power on. That is not to say it is heavy on endurance, in fact outside of battle situations you never need to worry about endurance at all. The power is at a premium with just a single Jump enhancement and is actually quite fun to use.

The pre-requisite powers are equally as good as those of Fly. Combat Jumping is to Super Jump as Hover is to Fly. It gives you a very minor defence and can be use as a minor travel power. It is a toggle of course and endurance heavy builds, or those who already run many toggles may have a problem running CJ at the same time as fighting. Jump Kick has a funny animation but is every bit as good as Air Superiority. Once again using this power will have the effect of sheathing any weapons you may be using, but that does not stop it being useful for the right character.

Another thing to consider when taking the Jumping pool is Acrobatics. I have deliberately left out the other powers in the travel pools because on the whole they are not much use and do not have an effect on whether a power is chosen or not. Acrobatics is different. It is a toggle that allows some protection from holds and knock back effects. It’s worthwhile considering if you have a character that does not have a power like that available within your own sets.

This is my favourite power for travelling. It’s a good all rounder.

Super Speed:

This is the second most versatile of all the travel powers yet is suffers in one great respect. Unlike all of the other travel powers Super Speed is the only one that forces you to go around objects. The payoff for that is that you have a very speedy power that grants you a limited stealth effect. Travelling with Super Speed is not the easiest thing and you often have to re-evaluate your route half way through but the speed lone means that you still tend to end up at missions before your teammates.

In missions as well this is a useful power. It can help you keep up with your team. It can help you stealth through missions, avoiding those tricky mobs, and it has a very low endurance drain so it is possible to use this power in a fight.

For enhancements, you can just slot one for running speed and you are all done, saving you valuable slots. It is a good idea, however, to get this power with Hurdle from the fitness pool as that will give you some benefits vertically and allow you to jump over some obstacles you would otherwise have to run around.

Super Speed has the benefit of having one of the most useful pre-requisites; hasten. This power speeds up your attacks recharge time. Some see it as a must-have power but I have never thought of it as such. It does however give you great benefits in some fights and is a very worthwhile power to take.

The other option is Flurry. Much like Air Superiority it is a punch, but one that deals damage over time. The animation is a little long for it but you can get a good attack out of it if you are prepared to slot it for damage and accuracy.

Super Speed would be my second choice as a versatile power and again is one that is a lot of fun to use. Sometimes allowing you to see parts of the maps you otherwise would have missed.

And that’s it. As I said before, a lot of this comes down to preference but I hope that this, in some way, is a useful guide to those wanting to know a little more about travelling in City of Heroes and City of Villains.

A Career as an Accounts Assistant or Accounting Technician (AAT)-Justaccountancyjobs.com

As an accounting technician, it would be your job to keep accurate financial accounts for all types of business, and to assist qualified accountants.

In larger companies, you would usually work as part of an accounts team. In a small business, you may be the only person trained to deal with finance matters like wages and invoices. In either case, your typical duties would include:

* processing and paying invoices

* recording receipts and payments

* preparing and checking ledger balances and other monthly and yearly accounts

* completing and submitting tax returns

* monitoring company expenses

* using computerised accounting systems.

With experience, you might take on management responsibilities and more complex tasks, such as:

* drafting financial reports

* planning and budget control

* assisting qualified accountants with audits.

To be an accounts technician you should have:

* confidence working with numbers

* good spoken and written communication skills

* an interest in business and finance

* good organisational skills

* the ability to solve problems and analyse figures

* a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

* the ability to work to strict deadlines

* honesty and discretion.

You will find it helpful to have previous experience of office work. Temporary work ('temping') can be a good way of getting experience that may lead to a permanent job. Computer experience is also useful, particularly in using spreadsheet and database packages like Microsoft Excel and Access.

Above all, you should feel confident with maths and using computers. Employers may prefer you to have at least four GCSEs (A-C) including maths (or a similar level of qualification), although entry requirements may vary.

You would often start as an accounts clerk doing basic accounting duties in a company. You could then take work-based training or a part-time college course to qualify as a technician with the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) or the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) scheme.

You may be able to miss out some parts of AAT or CAT training if you already have one of the following:

* AS or A Level in Accounting

* previous relevant work experience in accounting

* an entry-level bookkeeping qualification (see the Accounts Clerk profile).

You may be able to get into this job through an Apprenticeship scheme. The range of Apprenticeships available in your area will depend on the local jobs market and the types of skills employers need from their workers. For more information on Apprenticeships, visit www.apprenticeships.org.uk.

Your training is normally a mixture of learning on the job and studying for qualifications from the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) or the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA).

You can take the AAT Accounting qualification in one of two ways - the NVQ route or the Diploma route.

If you are employed in an accounting role, you can take work-based training and assessments to achieve NVQs in Accounting. This route has three stages:

* NVQ Level 2 (Foundation)

* Level 3 (Intermediate)

* Level 4 (Technician).

If you do not yet work in accounting or if you prefer to take an exam-based route, you can choose the Diploma pathway to the AAT Accounting Qualification. The Diploma also has three stages:

* Certificate (Foundation)

* Advanced Certificate (Intermediate)

* Diploma (Technician).

You will be assessed for the Diploma by exams and simulated skills tests, instead of providing practical evidence from the workplace.

You can study for the AAT Accounting Qualification full- or part-time at colleges or training centres, or in the workplace.

For full membership of the AAT, you must pass all three stages of the qualification, and have at least a year's approved work experience. You can find more details on the AAT's website.

Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA)

To become qualified with the ACCA Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) Scheme, you must pass exams at the three levels (Introductory, Intermediate and Advanced) and keep a training record of at least one year's practical accounting experience.

You can study for CAT full- or part-time at further education colleges and private training centres, or alternatively through home study. See the ACCA's website for full details.

Once you are fully AAT or CAT qualified, you could study further to become an accountant. Your accounting technician qualifications mean that you can usually bypass the first stage of professional exams. For example, you could start at Part 2 of the ACCA's Chartered Certified Accountant Scheme, instead of Part 1. See the Private Practice Accountant profile for more information.

* Starting salaries at foundation and intermediate levels can be around £14,000 to £18,000 a year.

* Once qualified to technician level, salaries can be up to £25,000.

What opportunities are there?

You could work for companies in every business sector, or in the public sector for organisations such as local councils, colleges/universities and the NHS.

Jobs may be advertised in the local press, Jobcentre Plus, and by recruitment agencies.

With experience, you could move into management or become self-employed and work on accounts for a number of small business clients. You could also choose to study further and become a qualified accountant.

AAT and ACCA qualifications are recognised across the world, so work abroad is an option.
